How to share a trip plan from ChatGPT or Claude with your partner
You and ChatGPT or Claude worked out the trip, and now your partner wants to see it. Here is the whole thing: paste the plan into Votum, then either invite your partner onto the trip or share one view-only link. Three minutes, nothing to pay.

Step 1 of 6
Finish the plan in ChatGPT or Claude
Settle the dates, the flights, where you are sleeping and what you want to do each day, the way you already do. Votum only keeps what you decided, so leave the maybes as maybes.
Step 2 of 6
Copy Votum's short message into the chat
In Votum, tap Import a trip, then Copy the message. Paste that message into the same ChatGPT or Claude chat and send it. The reply comes back written in Votum's format, ready to paste.
Where the Copy button is in each app: ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini.
Step 3 of 6
Paste the reply into Votum and save
Copy the whole reply, paste it into the big box in Votum and tap Preview my trip. Check the days, flights, stays and costs, fix anything that looks off, then tap Save. The trip now has one link.
Step 4 of 6
Invite your partner
Open the trip and tap Invite your people. Add their name, leave "They can change the plan" on so you plan it together, then make the invite link and send it any way you like, or invite them by email. They sign in with just their email and see the same trip you see. It is free.
Step 5 of 6
Or share one view-only link
For a parent or a friend who is not coming, share one link instead of an invite. In People, under Share a view-only itinerary, tap Create view-only link, then copy it. It opens without an account and shows the days, places, links and estimated costs; confirmation numbers, notes, photos and chat stay private. Turn it off any time.
Step 6 of 6
Open Votum on the trip
Once you are travelling, each of you opens the trip and sees what is up next, the rest of today and a look at tomorrow, with directions and booking links one tap away. If the plan changes, everyone sees the change. Nothing to resend.
What that screen shows, part by part: The live trip screen.
Invite, or share the link?
Both are free. An invite puts someone on the trip; the view-only link lets someone look.
| Invite | View-only link | |
|---|---|---|
| Needs an account | Yes, free, just an email | No |
| Sees confirmation numbers, notes, photos, chat | Yes | No |
| Can change the plan | If you leave it on | Never |
| Best for | Your partner, the friends who are coming | A parent, a friend who is not coming |
Questions people ask
- Does my partner need an account to see the trip?
- Not for the view-only link; it opens straight away. An invite does make them a free account with just their email, and in return they are on the trip: they see the confirmation numbers, notes, photos and chat, and can plan with you.
- Can my partner change the plan, or only look at it?
- Your choice. Leave "They can change the plan" on when you invite them and you both edit the same trip. Turn it off and they follow along: they see everything, including the live screen, the moments and the chat, but only planners change the plan, add moments and photos, or write in the chat. The view-only link is always look-only.
- What if the plan changes after I shared it?
- Everyone on the trip, and anyone with the view-only link, always sees the current plan. Add a dinner, move a museum to Sunday, mark the hotel booked, and it is there for them the next time they open it. There is nothing to resend.
- Is it free for my partner?
- Yes. Inviting your partner or friends is free, and the view-only link is free to open. Nobody has to install anything either; Votum opens in the browser and can sit on the home screen like an app.
