Cookies and similar technologies
A cookie is a small value stored in your browser. Here is what the reviewed Votum application uses and what still needs provider verification.
Sign-in and choices
Supabase authentication cookies maintain and refresh your signed-in session. Exact production cookie lifetimes depend on the authentication configuration and must be verified. Blocking these cookies may prevent account features from working.
The concierge-dismissal cookie remembers a dismissal you request for up to 14 days. The votum_optional_analytics cookie remembers your allow/reject choice for up to 180 days. These preferences are stored when you make the relevant choice.
Optional analytics
Optional public-post and concierge analytics are off until allowed in Privacy choices. Rejecting and accepting are equally available. You can withdraw the choice there at any time. Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track overrides an allowed choice. Clearing browser cookies returns optional analytics to off.
Booking-link taps are recorded when you request a handoff. These records support the requested link and affiliate measurement; they are not controlled by the optional analytics cookie.
External services
The Dream Map and Google place search ask you to load the relevant provider before initializing that optional feature. These loading choices are separate from the optional analytics cookie. Plain-text place entry remains available. Once loaded, providers may receive browser/network information and use their own storage. External image hosts and sites reached through links can also receive request information.
Provider storage, configuration, and appropriate consent or exemption must still be checked in production; a loading choice does not establish that every provider practice has been approved. We do not claim that every third-party cookie is essential. You may clear or block cookies through your browser. Votum’s analytics choice does not control what happens on another provider’s site.
